April 21, 2024 - Winston-Salem, NC - After trailing twice in Game Two of the Commissioners Cup Quarterfinals, the Carolina Thunderbirds scored three unanswered goals to force a Game Three against the Port Huron Prowlers, taking down Port Huron, 4-2, Saturday evening at the Fairgrounds Arena. Port Huron struck early in the 1st period keeping the momentum rolling from its Game One victory. Carolina Falls in Game One to Port Huron, 3-2

April 19, 2024 - Port Huron, MI - The Carolina Thunderbirds dropped Game One of the Commissioners Cup Quarterfinals to the Port Huron Prowlers, 3-2, Friday evening at McMorran Arena. Port Huron struck first in the 1st period 5:32 into the game. Dominic Loubert beat Carolina netminder, Mario Cavaliere, on a shot from the point to give the home side a 1-0 advantage. Owner Cary Ross Wins FPHL Founders Award

April 17, 2024 - Carolina Thunderbirds owner Cary Ross was given the FPHL Founders Award by the league, the FPHL announced on Wednesday. This is an annual award to a person(s) or group for their outstanding service and commitment to the FPHL. Ross has been an ownership partner with the Carolina Thunderbirds since the team's inception in 2017 and has been the team's Director of Hockey Operations since May of 2022. Ford Named FPHL Forward of the Year

April 16, 2024 - Carolina Thunderbirds forward Gus Ford has been named the FPHL's Forward of the Year, the league announced on Tuesday. Following a MVP season a year ago, Carolina Thunderbirds forward Gus Ford has been named the FPHL's Forward of the Year. Across 43 games this season, Ford has netted 42 goals while picking up 46 assists, averaging 2.0 points per game.
