Friday's series opener between the Roadrunners and Gulls marked the second El Lazo de Tucson night of the season, as the Roadrunners wore their alternate El Lazo uniforms in honor of all that is Southern Arizona. The National Anthem was performed by Mariachi Los Diablitos from Sunnyside High School, and forward Jan Jenik and Roadrunners Mascot Dusty were in attendance for a pregame edition of Roadrunners Hockey Rules. During the game, Dusty's Cheering Section was in full force before Tucson earned a standings point in overtime.

Roadrunners Earn Standings Point in Seventh Consecutive Home Game with 3-2 Overtime Loss to San Diego

Tucson, Arizona - The Tucson Roadrunners opened the weekend with a 3-2 overtime loss to the San Diego Gulls Friday night, as Tucson's lineup featured 16 skaters with multiple players recalled to the Arizona Coyotes earlier in the day.
